Resentment in BJP over Dausa

JAIPUR: Dausa, the predominantly rural seat of Rajesh Pilot, is being contested by son Sachin. Pilot is a Gujjar and BJP, after failing to identi fy a local Gujjar, has fielded Kartar Singh Bhadana of Haryana, who quit his ministry in Chautala''s cabinet to join BJP.
The fielding of Bhadana has caused resentment in BJP and a former minister Rohitashwa says he will contest as independent.He unsuccessfully contested twice against Rajesh Pilot from the Dausa constituency and is irked by the decision of the party to overlook the claims of local candidates and "import" someone from Haryana only to counter the caste factor.
Another former BJP MLA Ramkishor Saini is also upset with the fielding of Bhadana and has threatened to quit the party. Saini feels someone from the Mali community should have been fielded by the BJP. Meanwhile, an independent MLA from Kotputli Subhash Sharma has announced his candidature. He blamed both parties for making Dausa pasteurland for outsiders. TNN
